Course summary

Developed by Gender Equity Victoria in 2018 (updated in 2024), this course will introduce you to key language, terms, and concepts used in the work of preventing violence against women (PVAW). Also included is information relating to statistics, prevalence and the impacts of violence against women. The course also touches on policies and programs in this space along with some actions and techniques that can be used to prevent violence against women.

This course is particularly of interest to people who are beginning their career in the PVAW space or those who are interested in finding out more about this critical topic.
